Ongoing individual work
Continuing work, psychoanalytically oriented, at a frequency we decide together.
- Length
- 50 minutes
- Where
- In Rome, or online
- How often
- Usually once a week
When a first conversation opens onto something that deserves time, we begin ongoing work: regular meetings, the same day and the same hour, usually once a week. That regularity is not an administrative formality. It is what lets the work hold in the weeks when you do not feel like coming.
How I work
My training is psychoanalytic in orientation. In practice that means we do not work only on the symptom that brought you here, but on how that symptom was built and what it is for. I do not set homework and I do not teach techniques to apply. I ask questions, and I notice what you say and what you do not.
The pace is largely yours. There are stretches where the work moves quickly and stretches where it seems stuck; both belong to it.
How long it takes
I have no honest answer that holds for everyone. Some courses of work close within a few months, because the original question finds its shape. Others run for years. What I can promise is that we talk about it openly, and that an ending is prepared together rather than announced in a session.
You can stop at any point. I ask only that you tell me in person rather than by message: a last meeting is also there to close things.
